Ty's NFL Quick Hits: Week 6
/Some real quick NFL hits again before I get back to my NBA countdown.
Blake Bortles will be the death of the Jags, and he is making me look like an idiot. The Chiefs-Patriots game was awesome and I hope we see them meet again. The Vikings, at least on defense, seem to be figuring it out. The Falcons and Bucs are both pretty awful on defense, but their game was exciting. The Texans, against their coach's best wishes, keep finding ways to win games, albeit ugly. The Rams proved they can win outside in the cold. The Cardinals and Colts have some pieces, but they are very far away from being competitive. The Raiders should be dreading the deal they gave Jon Gruden. The Ravens dominated the hapless Titans. The Bears may be a mirage. The Dolphins have already exceeded their win total I though they'd have. The AFC is still confusing, and the NFC is owned by the Rams.
The Steelers and Bengals played an okay game, but I do not think either is a real threat. I will let the Head Editor address the Bengals.
HE: I have lived in Cincinnati for 12 years. My first few days saw the first playoff appearance by the Bengals in a really long time. It was against the Steelers. It was in Cincinnati. Pittsburgh is now, and has always been a dirty squad. Carson Palmer had his knee shredded by a dirty Steeler player, the Bengals lost, and I really did not care because I had no history with my new hometown team.
Twelve years later and the Bengals broke my heart yesterday. They are better than that crap Steelers team, and they lost, at home, once again. There is no hope in Cincinnati because our football team lost to Pittsburgh again, and every fan in this town knew it would happen.
No other games matter this year. Cincinnati will win 8-11 games and get bounced out of the playoffs.
Probably by the Steelers.
Again.
The Bengals kill hope.
